    Hive & My Old Thermostat

So fitted the Hive today and took brman's idea of fitting the hub, controller and new thermostat and then leaving the old thermostat in place, but set to max (30). Lo and behold the system is working great. But as I am so picky, I'm going to go back to my original thought of removing the old...

    Hive & My Old Thermostat

Thank you all for your help. Having spoken to a number of people it turns out I need to connect the wires in the thermostat to make the circuit. I can then remove the old thermostat and hide the wires. I'll give it a go tomorrow and see what happens. Cheers

    Hive & My Old Thermostat

Trying to discover which one is from the thermostat would be kinda difficult. I was looking...

    Hive & My Old Thermostat

This is a self install as I don't live in the UK and as for the wifi I don't know yet as  haven't set it all up yet. Hopefully it doesn't affect it too much as they say it only uses 512mb per month.

    Hive & My Old Thermostat

I haven't, but I'm guessing they must be as they are currently controlling my existing heating set up through the thermostat.

    Hive & My Old Thermostat

I have recently purchased Hive to control my central heating and hot water and it's all wireless. The only problem I have is that my old system has a thermostat in the hall that I obviously need to remove as I'm replacing the thermostat and controllers etc. When removing the old thermostat...
