FYI the ShinePhone app hasn't worked for several days for me, and still not. The website was working until this morning, then it started redirecting to a registration page. Deleting all the site's cookies fixed that.
it does yes, it seems low for a sunny day. do you use the shine server (https://server.growatt.com/)? if not, this provides more information than the shine app such as the mode, and it's easier to export stuff. would be interesting to see the total energy chart for the day. you can also get at...
Hi, what mode is the inverter in? If it's "load first" then this sounds about right to me. Battery at 100%, load 0.23k, solar 2.68kw, leaves 2.45kw excess PV to export.
ok cool I see that now, especially with your evening usage, thanks.
Also, in case it helps, binky mentioned CT clamps. My installer put the clamp on backwards (head-office told him to do it that way) and so my graphs were upside down which made them confusing. I found an installation video from...
Hi, I just wanted to check whether you actually should be using Battery First mode during the day? It says in the manual "it's suitable working on the period when the electric charge is low".
Personally, I use Load First all the time (had it for 10 months now) which is the default setup and use...
I used [email protected] and got a reply within hours.
The reply came from [email protected], if the above doesn't work could try that.
Plus I think you can also message them via the service tab of the shine app, but I haven't tried it.
On second thoughts. Might be worth double checking what it is before changing anything. I think the ECA2.v is for non-battery and the ECA2.nv (and the ECA2.nz) are for battery systems. So changing the meter would probably be wiser if I've understood it correctly. I'd recommend a quick look at...
I can't say for sure but I think you have the same solar meter as me, the emlite ECA2.NZ.
If that's the case the manual (see here: link) says it MUST be wired differently if batteries are involved.
My installer did it wrong and I found the manual and showed him, and he rewired it, only took a...
Hi Ben,
I'm also a consumer and newbie but I have a similar setup to you, i.e. SPH3600 and 2 growatt batteries (installed last Aug) so thought I'd chip in. My installer fitted a solar meter (an emlite eca2.nz) but he didn't know what it was (he was just told to install it). The meter turned out...
I'm no expert but if they're all on one string then 1 faulty panel/wire or a bit of snow could significantly reduce your output until it's sorted, IMO surely better to use both MPPTs?
not sure, it does it most days, possibly just some cloud causing it to drop below the 100V min required or maybe it's the self testing. Looking at the solar power at the time it happens it's around 5W so it isn't really generating much when it happens.
These were our voltages yesterday, was cloudy so not much generation but our voltages are fairly consistent every day. Higher V than OPs though (no idea why that is), 260-280V. MPPT1 is east facing, MPPT2 is west facing.
