Why do I bother????

On the 29th Jan I straightened a private lamp post and replaced the top (inc LED lamp)



Well.... today I get a phone call to say that someone else has reversed into it.... my customers had even stuck hazard tape all over it so that it would become more visible

You bother because you get paid. Like we all do. 

So that is what a reversing light looks like, never seen mine. :innocent

I've not been paid for the first time yet,,, so this isn't getting done until that first invoice has been settled

Personally I think you choice of location for a light in the first place was all wrong, don't know how you didn't see this coming!!

Agreed, clearly that is a parking space for an SUV, 4x4 or woman driver, or any combination thereof.

Apparently it was a van driver

there's parking to the right at 90deg to my van and they reverse towards the lamp post to turn around..

the guy who runs the place thought that ISIS were attacking the office manager wants another price to give the van driver if they want to pay direct instead of going through insurance again... LOL... that fitting and lamp cost me something like £160

 Not mine Ducky .... no rear windows in mine ,  did actually reverse into a couple of lamposts  TBH ...hell of a blind spot .

I do hit quite a few parking meters, no idea why!?

There was no rear view mirror ...   period ..in the mighty Escort , same with my Combo  , they don't fit them .

Isn't there a hook thing on the windscreen there is on mine but it may have had windows at some point?

Even if I had one I'd probably still reverse into parking meters  :facepalm:

Yeah you can hit them instead!!

alternatively tie several bunches of flowers around the post, people always slow down then? 

yes, but hitting the bollard should be easier to repair

I've told them that they need to consider having a bollard/barrier installed,,,,,, I doubt that they'll spring for it though
