Governments new proposal that ALL businesses will have to offer a company pension to thier employees to be implemented by 2012...

Even those small businesses employing less than 5 people

Good news...

Bad news...

Undecided?

 
No-one will be able to afford to employ anyone soon, or actually leave the house to do any work regardless. By 2012 I'd expect there to be less people actually employed.

 
I have picked my option because I am undecided. Simply is is a good thing as an employee and if I am employed then I would take it up. In that sort of time frame I would like to be owner rather than employee and then its another cost/burden that has to be paid for somewhere.

I think I am more for it than against, but only just!

 
are we going back to when the gov tried to push everyone into being self employed/subbies ?

I had an SC60 when still an apprentice.

no one is going to have any employees at all if this goes ahead.

bad for the small 1man bands with his workforce of 2(if you get what I mean).
