Have been a complete twit and accidentally (won't bore you with details but lesson has been well learnt) allowed the above storage heater to be covered. Needless to say the thermal fuse has been tripped. From trawling the internet am pretty sure that this type of heater has a re-settable fuse. Could anyone be very kind and tell me how. Sorry to be such an ingnoramus.

Hi

You need to switch the heater OFF at the switch next to the heater, then remove the front cover, often just 2 screws along the bottom edge and the front + top will lift off.

Inside at the top you will see various controls IF this heater has a resettable thermal cut-out it may look like a disc with a white button in the middle.

Gently press this white button and if you hear a"click" you have reset it.

IF there is no obvious button, look for a little silver thing that looks a bit like a capacitor with a wire out of each end, about 5mm diameter and 10mm long. they are non resettable thermal fuses and must be replaced.
