Received an e-mail the other day, seemed freindly. :slap

Here it is:

To: me@mye-mailaddress

Subject: visiting the [surname] family

Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2012 14:04:56 +0300

From: [email protected]

Hi there [Correct Christian Name]

how are things? We will be driving down there to your area soon so perhaps we could all go grab something to eat and get everyone together to catchup?

I will keep you posted!

Talk with you soon. Emily

Could well be some sort of scam - Who knows?

One way the scams usually get it wrong is the time the email is sent,

Check this against the time your inbox shows it sent?

Mine is quite interesting as its not a UK or com address so the time is always wrong with the scam e.mails, even if they have matched it to my mail addy placement, ;)

I received this same e-mail today (found it in my hotmail junkbox) from another contact. I replied "Emily who?" but the e-mail bounced. I looked up the IP address (67.23.190.176) & google tells me that places the sender in North Carolina Asheville.
