Just back from delving deeper into my buy to let and I find that the CH is controlled by a wireless stat, a Siemens RDH10RF. White portable thing with an LCD screen and simple dial. The LCD screen is naffed so a new unit I guess is required. Are they coded to the boiler as such (Valiant in this case)? Thinking they must be or you could end up controlling the neighbour's boiler etc?

Any suggestions where to get a replacement?

Thanks in advance!

yep, there is usually a receiver connected to the boiler and wired up like a normal programmer.

probably just a plain white box though

both bits should come together, but you will have to 'learn' them about each other,

it may be possible to just buy the transmitter, but can you be sure the Rx is ok?

I think easiest and cheapest option is simply to buy a 'matched' pair.

they arent crazy money these days.
