Used some metal push-fit fittings for the first time today. Top Job!
I chose the Conex Push-fit ones as they guarantee electrical continuity, look smart, and if it went wrong are demountable so I could start again.
Have to say i'm very impressed. The finish (brass) is lovely and they worked a treat. Now my central heating is improved! And i'll be getting stocks in for the other plumbing bits and bobs I get added onto jobs . The thing I find is when looking at earth bonding for pipes, it often leads to work needed on those pipes. :|
The copper look ones also look great, but there's inconsistency as to whether they provide electrical continuity and the whole point of paying more for pushfit is to save time on a job and not have to worry about adding green and yellow after. Oh and the non-flame aspect is pretty handy too.
