proabably 25% of oven faults i got to do not require any tools to fix. just need to set the clock, or in some cases, switch the damn thing on. wonder how these people manage to get on with their life....

 
Agree, a push of the clock/timer button and blow me the cooker now works.

 
This is on a par with "faults" I have had reported with storage heaters.

go to property, storage heater is turned off

I changed a cooker thermostat today, cost £30 took less than an hour.

How many are sitting in landfill needlessly?
