I've been asked by an elderly relative if I can replace their shower head:

Originally installed by British Gas it's a Newteam NT50 with a pump in the airing cupboard. I had the slightly lesser model NT35 which shared parts. The parts are NO LONGER available - I know as I went through this with mine a few years back. Now with mine it wasn't so much an issue as it was on a tiled stud wall with the hot and cold feeds coming in from the (accessible) loft space. Replaced a couple of tiles and fitted a thermostatic bar valve. Since then replaced the pump too!

The problem I see with the one in the photo is the EXISTING pipes are at "odd" centres to match up with a modern thermostatic bar. I DON'T really want to go hacking into the wall to bury pipes. Looking for a short term solution - they are talking of having the bathroom re-done with a walk in shower or even moving to sheltered housing etc.

Thanks in advance.
