appears as though to claim it back, you have to register for VAT? cant really see too many doing that, although im sure plenty people will
maybe next year instead of PPI advers it will be 'let us register you for VAT and you can claim millions back'

Be careful what you wish for.
If solar PV is now going to be treated as a "business transaction" then it won't be long before you have to declare your solar PV income on your tax return and pay a minimum of 20% income tax on it.
