..for me to cut our hamsters nails? i've just noticed they are getting long in the front, the back ones are fine.

'safe' for whom?They do bite do hamsters.

Im not bothered about getting bit, snowy is our 6th hamster we've had, ive had my fair share of bites.

So is it ok if i cut/trim them for him??

course it is. Borrow Mr Admin's best side cutters or a pair of toenail clippers work well. Just take a tiny bit off at a time. If the nails are clear you can see the pink quick - avoid it.
