No doubt the contractor who does get it will be wife swapping with some MP and they will be charging through the (cast iron) roof for accessories and lamps! meanwhile their wife swapping buddy will be getting a nice fat brown envelope.

If its a public contract anyone in the EU can bid on it, cheaper to get the Romanians in and it would give them something to do other that stand outside wickes all day like the Polish used to.

Ah ha, but we need to do as the French do, and word the tender document so that local labour makes up xx%, local apprentices make up xx% etc etc. It just makes it far harder for over seas companies to bid and comply

 
then the international companies who didnt get the job would then sue them for breach of EU laws or something and then claim what the contract was worth...
