Cordless Vaccum Cleaner

anybody recommend a decent one?

our house is all carpets, with cushion lino in the kitchen.

my mum has a G-tec air ram, reckons its great on wooden floors, but has no idea about carpets,

my brother has a Dyson, his missus reckons its great,,,,,,,,, for about 10minutes,,,,,,,

ive got a makita 18v one, but its only really useful for cleaning up at jobs, wouldnt want to do an entire house with it. probably blow more dust around than it catches

Dysons are good, but the battery life isn't great. I used to be just about able to do a 3 bedroom house with no pets or kids on one full charge.

we bought a vax unit on recommendation of Which? Don't bother for tis crap compared to corded vacuum. About the only thing it is good for is a modern version of the old carpet sweeper - picture below for those not old enough.

All battery vacuum cleaners are pretty much useless due to the small battery capacity, it would be fair to say they all suck :coat
