DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT TYPE OF BREAKER SHOULD BE USED FOR A THREE PHASE MOTOR,AND WHY,SORRY THIS IS ALL IN CAPITALS,IM NOT SHOUTING,MY KEYBOARD'S BROKE

Yes, but i find the nails to be much more reliable than all this modern cheap junk. Never had one blow yet!!

The best breaker in my opinion (that i use all the time) for a motor (in general terms) is a motor protective circuit breaker MPCB

The nail that Andy has pointed to was a very old fashioned method that is by todays standards frowned upon......

How often does one of these come under BS7671 though?

Mind, disconnection times due to earth fault loop are relevant under other standards too.

You can also ask the manufacturer for the Zs details for the appropriate range of MPCB

Here is a Schneider table, Siemens, ABB and Eaton all have these details although sometimes they are hard to find.

they are hard to find, when I phone to ask, its very hard to find anyone that knows what the Zs means, let-alone what it is
