Hi,
I am building some bedside units for my own personal use. They will be made from Oak.
I would like to build lights and plug sockets into the unit and want to check if it would be ok to do this, running from a standard 3 pin plug?
In essence, I would like to run a two gang plug socket with USB chargers from the mains, by plugging a standard 3 pin fused plug into the mains circuit. I would then like to run run a spur for a light from these sockets, via a standard light switch.
My main concern is over the spur for the light - is that safe / ok to do?
A very rough picture of the setup is below.
Thanks for your advice.
