Hi!

We have built a multiple shelving unit that needs to have a set of 3 bulbs, set in a row and linked to an in-line rocker switch, on the underside of one of the shelves.

We have these lamp holders... http://www.buyitbetter.co.uk/antique-brass-lamp-holder-fixed-batten-sbc-b15-shade-ring-uk-made

Along with 3-core flex, an in-line rocker switch and a plug.

How do we go about wiring the 3 bulbs with the switch and plug? Any help would be hugely appreciated. If you have any images, drawings or videos you could share that would also be a big help.

Many thanks,

Guy

Find a suitable/discreet place to install a small joint box or adaptable box and wire all of the lamp holders, switch and plug to this point in the 3 core flex.

Connect all neutrals together in the joint and run the live from the plug , through the switch and to the lamp holders.

Make sure the plug has max 3 amp fuse, bear in mind these lamps must be earthed and can also get hot depending on the lamp fitted.

Place them away from areas of spillage!
