Hi, I'm not an electrician, I'm trying to get some electrical advice, which I can't seem to get from the local electricians I have spoken to where I live.

I'm building a bath/batch/vat pasteuriser that I wish to use to pasteurise bottles of beer. I've worked out that I'll need around 50kw of electricity to heat 346l by an increase of 70 degrees over a space of 40 minutes and need to know whether my my 3-phase 380w electrical supply will support it.

Sorry if this is a little simplistic, my electrical knowledge is non-existent and I'm going to have to tell the guy selling heater elements what I need before I get a local electrician to install it, but everyone I've spoken to can't tell me if my supply can handle it.

Any advice would be warmly appreciated.

Alex

Without visiting and inspecting, then calculating existing loading. Anyone trying to do this would be using a crystal ball.

380V I presume you aren't in the UK?
