Hi,

I have a question regards what can be done if supply cable for CU is too short due changes in the project. CU will energise 1 bed flat (6-7) circuits

Its 20 metre long 16mm 2-core SWA and Earth 10mm. Run need to be extend for about 15m as was already installed and different power arrangement is design.

What can be used to extend that cable as there will be no access to the joint.

Please advice

Problem :-

Cable is too short .

Two choices

(1)   Install longer cable .     Best option .    But leaves you with 20 mtrs of expensive cable on your hands.

(2)  Joint more cable to existing .        There is no access to most joints  so use a suitable resin joint to extend the cable ....those are the choices .
