I am looking at installing a steam generator for a bathroom - domestic property and single phase.

The manufactures instructions indicate the following:

Use only copper wire rated 600V~ and 75°C or better

All models require Earth connection

All models require Mains plus Neutral connections

All Mains must supply minimum 195V~ while steamer is heating

The steam generator is only 4.5kw so i've installed a 4MM twin and earth radial circuit.

They want the wire to be rated to 600v - even on a single phase supply ?????

Any input would be appreciated......

Thanks in advance

Ooh I have one of those in the garage, now do I remove shower from holder and put the head of this on its place 🤔🤔🙄

If you search YouTube there will no doubt be an American bloke somewhere who has done a very similar thing. Search a bit more!

I would ignore the 600V bit, I think most cable is arted for this anyway, SWA certainly is, other wise our 500V testing voltage may cause damage. Check Doncaster cables website.
