How easy is it to move a light switch in a timber framed house built in 1999?

The switch is on the internal face of the wall to the side of patio doors, I want the switch to be on the other side of the patio doors.

The switch operates an external security light central above the patio doors.

The wall construction is plasterboard on 89x38mm timber studs with a brick outer leaf and insulation in the cavity behind the plasterboard.

I guess my real question is how invasive would the work be? remove lots of plasterboard or just key spots and pull the wiring through?

Thanks in advance.

I have never seen this product before, it's pretty neat and it has got me thinking of the many uses it can have.  Thanks for posting that link, this would be a much easier solution!

it'll be an awful lot easier than running cables. Modern houses may have  cavity, but the insulation tends to prevent any attempt at fishing cables across, which means we have to cut holes....
