Hi all,

This may sould a stupid question or its been asked thousands of times if so sorry :).

I've been out of the game for many years and in the process of trying to source what needed to install a hot tub in my garden and I've done calcs and done them online and I keep getting different figures so can someone clarify the following for us:

The tub plate states 27 amps.

SWA run is 36 meters.

So I'm presuming 6mm SWA is sufficient based on a 5% voltage drop?

Phase : Single Phase

Power : 7.36 kilowatts / 32 amps

Length : 35m clipped

Core Size : 6 mm²

Voltage Drop : 9.1 volts

So should it be 10mm SWA or is 6mm ok or is it at its limits?

Thanks,

Brian
