I thought at the time you did it, you said it was okay because it wasn't "fixed wiring"
do you have to add 13a to the design current or follow cooker guidance of 5a?

Isn't the flex too short? It needs to be long enough so the socket can be 3m away from the shower surely?

There's a lot of people out there with a widow maker lead for their gennie and a still-in-the-box changeover switch...that's all I'm saying!

We laugh about this, but in every Australian bathroom, is a double socket right next to the shower, usually with the washing machine and a hair dryer plugged in. I don't think the aussies regularly kill themselves as even they are not stupid enough to use the hair dryer inside the cubicle while the water is running.
In Australia you can get out of the shower, dry your hair and your body, get dressed and leave the room. In the UK you are forced to leave the room with wet hair and dry it somewhere else, unless your bathroom is big enough to have a socket 3 metres away from the shower and bath.
In our new house I will probably fit a socket right outside the bathroom door, and leave a generous gap under the door so a hairdryer with a long enough lead can be used.

Its only temporary so it s OK .
I hadn't thought of that .......lets face it ...anything is possible .Maybe there's a widow maker lead out of shot to power it up!

yep, the person standing in the shower with the hairdryer, they will be cooked
