Hi I have a newlec storage heater model number nlshi18mn that has stopped working but I cannot find the reset button have taken off the first panel can anyone help please jenny

This claims to be the spare parts for that heater https://www.uk-spares.com/products/heating/domestic/storage-heaters/newlec-storage-heaters/nlsh18an

If so this is the thermostat https://www.uk-spares.com/products/heating/domestic/storage-heaters/newlec-storage-heaters/nlsh18an/dimplex-9511030-xl9701.html

It's hard to describe in words how to reset them so I will try.

On the top there are two "tangs" sticking up at an angle.  Insert a small flat blade screwdriver under each tang down in line with it. You should hear a click when it resets.

If anyone has a better description or picture please post it.

of course make sure the POWER IS OFF before doing that.

If your storage heater stops working, there are two best common options – a faulty thermostat and a broken element, delivered that it was not covered by clothing accidentally. By acting a thermostat manual reset, it is possible to repair your storage heater. Turn off the power supply and remove it.

so... youre advising to remove a safety thermostat to 'fix' the heater...

And it's back.....3 years late to the party. And advocating the removal of a safety device!

just wondering...will this ensure complete satisfaction?
