Occasionally I would like to be able to switch on my central heating remotely by, effectively, turning on the override switch. I know Hive and Nest etc. provide remote control but they include degrees of sophistication I don't need.
I currently have a Honeywell programmer and I'd like to be able to just swap out the controller with a wifi enabled device.
Anyone know if such a device exists?
If it has to be a Hive or similar how easy are they to fit bearing in mind I have a Boulter Buderas oil fired boiler? Since the room stat and programmer I have are standard to many types of boiler both, gas and oil, I would hope the type of boiler wouldn't be terribly relevant?
Thanks for any help.
