Hence my point about them following through with it. 


Yup ...............nothing is going to change until the DCLG get their fingers out and write proper building regs that are not open to interpretation and some body gets the responsibility (and funding) to crack down on all trades who don't do a proper job ...............

So you are correct, nothing will change

AND if anyone thinks that the schemes are the answer, think again, they don't have powers to investigate or clamp down....................... 

 
Oh come on gents, they did suggest 5 years.
 

The committee recommended that, within five years, no-one should be allowed to carry out the electrical work covered by building regulations without an NVQ Level III or equivalent qualification and "a significant period of supervised on-the-job training".


So 6 March 14 + 5 years = 6 March 2019. It is ALL going to happen in the next 360days. or did I miss read it?
