I’ve just bought a Fender amp for my electric guitar and it’s picking up interference when nothing’s plugged in and it has a high pitched noise and even worse when the guitars plugged in. I’ve traced the problem to my air source heat pump boiler that has an inverter controlled compressor and when it’s running it’s causing issues with the amp. I live out in the sticks and have an earth rod system for my earth and think that may be part of the issue.

Is there anything I can get to reduce the noise or is there anything I can do to sort it out?

Thanks

Chris

I'm guessing that your heat pump boiler is not fitted with the required suppression ,  could try asking the makers .

Is it any good moving the amp away from the heat pump ?
