Hi

Would appreciate some help please

I have just bought a static caravan which has a Worcester 24i (RSI) with a timer in the fascia panel and a ESRTERFW wireless digital room thermostat. I'd like to install a simple remote control so I can turn the heating on when we are on our way from home or an especially cold spell is forecast. I'm not looking for an all-singing, all-dancing system such as NEST (I use that for my home system and love it) but something as low cost as possible that will simply turn it on.

Any advice please?

Many thanks

Steve

What do you want to achieve?

It is not as though it takes a long time to heat up, or even has the ability to stay warm. Unlike an old stone cottage, these things are warm when the heating is on, and stone cold 10 minutes later.

I would just fit a frost thermostat to protect it when it gets really cold.

Just put the thermostat on a low setting, simple solution and very low tech...

Cos I am tight! LOL. Seriously, have limited income

no sympathy - sorry

So your options are:

A. allow the people using the home to run up big heating bills

or

B invest in technology to keep heating bills under control

Its going to cost you either way - me thinks technology is the way to go.....

Thanks for your reply. If anybody else was using it I would have said so
