I have been asked to install a low surface temp rad this rad does not need any temp control other than hot (to its maximum) in winter and off in summer, due to circulation problems in this part of the building i was considering using 1/4 turn full bore ball valves instead of standard rad valves, can anyone forsee any problems i may not have thought of, many thanks.

hello pipey,

firstly welcome to the forum m8:)

2 things here,

part L req trv`s on new radiators fitted(boring i know).

secondly i dont see any reason to use 1/4 turn valves it would only complicate things were as a standard valve works quite well.

some LST rads come complete with trv`s and remote sensors check with your local merchants

Hello and welcome. If there are circulation problems in the area and it's not used that often what about some kind of electric heating (convector or oil filled?)
