Can anyone tell me what can replace a Domar Smith Load Limiter 3 pole M9 40 amp breaker as I'm struggling to find this breaker anywhere. Regards Steve

M9 is the breaking capacity as per BS3871, we no longer use the character M to describe this in 60898, and 9ka is no longer a perfered value

What generation of dorman smith board are you putting it in (do the existing breakers have a double blue line on them?) , also what dripping curve do you require B,C or D?

It is likely that the current generation of dorman smith breakers will fit

Their website offers a section on "Discontinued items"

Otherwise phone their sales dept.   they'll point you to a product and a nearest stockist   .

Or  drop it onto your wholesaler and let them do the work .

Edmundsons   or BEW

With any manufacturer who is still in business, any questions like this, re obsolete items, in my opinion it has always got to be best to contact their customer/technical support dept to try and get accurate info direct from the horses mouth. It could save hours of wasted enquires elsewhere.
