The majority of current PIRs don't allow for the over-ride switch, which bypassed the PIR sensor and fed power directly to the lamp.

You have two choices. 1.  Wire the LIVE of your new units to the permanent supply, insulate and stow away the switched live. Your light will now work on its PIR sensor at any time.

OR  2 Wire the LIVE of your new units to the switched live. insulate and stow away the permanent live. Your light will now work on its PIR provided the manual, (previously override), switch is ON.

Some fittings allow an override on function by briefly interrupting the supply. ie switching off then on again quickly. Your instructions will tell you if you have this feature. If you do, wire as (2) above.
