Letter to Mrs. May

Dear Mrs. May,

Please find below our suggestion for fixing Brexit.

Instead of giving billions of pounds to Euro crates, that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about 10 million people over 50 in the work force.
Pay them £1 million each severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire.
Ten million job openings - unemployment fixed

2) They MUST buy a new British car.
Ten million cars ordered - Car Industry fixed

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage -
Housing Crisis fixed

4) They MUST send their kids to school/college/university -
Crime rate fixed

5) They MUST buy £100 WORTH of alcohol/tobacco a week .....
And there's your money back in duty/tax etc

It can't get any easier than that!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members of parliament pay back their falsely claimed expenses and second home allowances

If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know.
Also.....

Let's put the pensioners in jail and the criminals in a nursing home.

This way the pensioners would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.

They'd receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs etc and they'd receive money instead of paying it out.

They would have constant video monitoring, so they could be helped instantly, if they fell, or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week, and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.

A guard would check on them every 20 minutes and bring their meals and snacks to their cell.

They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.

They would have access to a library, weight room, spiritual counselling, pool and education.

Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, PJ's and legal aid would be free, on request.

Private, secure rooms for all, with an exercise outdoor yard, with gardens.

Each senior could have a PC a TV radio and daily phone calls.

There would be a board of directors to hear complaints, and the guards would have a code of conduct that would be strictly adhered to.

The criminals would get cold food, be left all alone and unsupervised. Lights off at 8pm, and showers once a week. Live in a tiny room and pay £600.00 per week and have no hope of ever getting out.

Think about this (more points of contention):

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Appleby almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the county of Cumbria?

And, they even tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 125,000 illegal immigrants wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yours sincerely xxxxxxxx.

Also;
Think about this ... If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone -- YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM! It is time for us grumpy old folk of Britain to speak up!

Lets face facts, the UK hasn’t got a plan, the EU hasn’t got a plan ..........

so so let’s stop sending money to the EU and we could simply revert to EEC rules of free trade .....

and dont ask how after 18 years many countries with quite diverse economies are still sharing a currency without political and fiscal unity ....

It would appear that we are now witnessing  parliament imploding upon itself  with Labour MPs leaving the sinking ship ,   Tory MPs   either resigning  or yet again drawing their  swords  in readiness to hack down  their own leader  and appoint  Boris   king of the public schoolboys .

Sounds like a plan....

Last man standing, basic weapons streamed live on YouTube.

Probably save a bit of money too...

A bloody good idea that, I've said for ages that instead of keep extending the retirement age and so working the older people to death they should make all the lazy unemployed youngsters shadow a worker for a year, after that the older person retires and the youngster takes their job. It would give the older person some of this quality leisure time that we all heard about during the Thatcher era, and more importantly end this culture of benefits being a lifestyle choice rather than a stopgap.

Before I married my wife I was in a relationship with a girl, it began to get serious and one day we were discussing the future, at the time I had a decent job paying a reasonable amount of money, she had an NNEB qualification to work in childcare, she also had a baby.

If we were going to embark on a proper long term relationship, she insisted that I would have to give up my current job, then we could both claim benefits!, Apparently, she informed me, she had avoided work the first time by having a baby with her ex, the second time they started trying to push her into work she opted for the NNEB course, they had creche facilities at the college, so the baby was looked after while she was doing her classes.

Her 'avoiding work' ethic was quite interesting, being on benefits meant, apparently that, you could never end up without money, when one benefit ended you simply moved onto another, people were more understanding if you got into debt, because you were on benefits, your money was your own, because your rent was paid direct, so no worrying about keeping a roof over your head, your optical, and dental work, as well as prescriptions were free, and you didn't have to worry about getting time off for holidays!

I didn't stay with her for long, I was brought up to find work, that was made very clear to me by my parents when I left school. but speaking to other people, her idea's are pretty common among a lot of people unfortunately.

Either way seems to work now you point it out Sharpie  ;)

Talking of estates ,  I went to look at a job in a church this morning  on what was a dodgy estate  .    It started as an airfield  opposite where they built Spitfires during the war ,  pushing them over the road for test flights .   ( Now Jaguar)   First they built tower blocks ,  bloody awful ,  the place where if your car was nicked ,  you'd find it there  with no engine  or wheels .

All that was demolished and it was all rebuilt as low rise ...residents & council got together to sort out the scallys   .   First thing I noticed today was no litter  , light traffic , just women with prams walking ,safely  , so most folk at work I'm guessing .         ( I'm always amazed if I see a place with no litter in Britain )

No kids lurking in the streets during school hours  like some areas ,  well maintained properties .

Not exactly the Cotswolds  but a massive difference to what it used to be .

Why has she quit?
:C   I'd guess she's had enough .  Lets face it  that turned out to be the most thankless job going  with even your own party against you .    I have no idea what these deals consisted of  , other than the Irish border  ..don't even know if thats resolved even now .

I get the idea that the Tory remainers    were fighting a last ditch battle  to reverse the referendum  when ,  ( I speak as a remainer )  that should have been put aside  and the wishes of the people  instigated .

I also heard that even after a referendum , a government can just ignore the whole issue & carry on regardless .

The two big poisoned chalices  in this country  are Prime Minister  & a football manager .

Prime Ministers can NEVER do right  although football managers  are on the right hand of God  .....as long as their team is winning .

Just watching the news, it’s about time someone just made a decision as at this rate we will never leave, which to be honest Is what they always wanted, regardless of what the people voted for.

I am struggling to understand what the big concern is by leaving with a no deal?

They keep refering to it as a divorce, now I don’t know any divorce that ends totally amicably with both sides getting what they want and continuing in some form of relationship thereafter let alone trying to divorce 27 spouses at once!!

Just quit, walk away and if a plutonic relationship develops in the future then so be it, but in the meantime get on with life.

they keep going on about having another vote on Brexit, I even heard on the news that potentially the MP's could go against what has already been done and they could call for a new vote, this would be the end of democracy, and a dangerous thing to do. I mean, if you have another vote, essentially because it didn't go the way some people wanted it to, then where do you stop? I want another local election, because I didn't vote for the party that got in? I want another general election because I didn't vote Tory? Potentially you could take it right back to the beginning, well I want another vote because I never wanted to join the EU anyway!

These are all potential scenarios, as daft as they may sound, who knows what could happen?

We have dithered about too long over this, it's damaging British business with all the uncertainty, the majority voted leave, so we leave, I don't recall anything on the voting slip about hard Brexit, or soft Brexit, or any other options, it was in or out, as simple as that. The Brussels lot know full well what will happen when we leave, the whole EU thing will collapse into it's sinking pool of corruption, that's why they don't want us to go, it's not for our benefit, it's for theirs.

One of the main issues with the EU is the financial state of some of the member countries, they have very little money to put in, the other problem is that everyone wants the same out, but without putting any more into the pot, it simply cannot happen. lets say that 4 people (countries) are going on a night out, they all put £20 each in the kitty, that gets them 4 drinks each, fair enough, then they meet another 2 people (countries) they want to join the night out, they want to put into the kitty and have 4 drinks each, but they can only put £3 in. Now,  this means that either the group are not going to get the 4 drinks each, or somebody needs to throw more money in the pot. The trouble is, nobody wants to throw any extra cash in, but they all want the 4 drinks, it can't happen! This is a simplified form of what has gone wrong inside the EU, a number of poorer countries wanted to join because of the benefits, however they had very little to bring to the party, the other members don't want to throw any more into the pot, so stalemate. Either these less well off countries need to be told to leave, or the wealthier ones need to put more in, which they don't want, simple.

This is very true Phil, which tells me that it was never about one union one democracy, it was about control simple as that. A selected few want too control the masses, anywhere else it’s called communism?

Well, you only have to look back a short while to when they were trying to come up with a new name, someone suggested the 'United States of Europe' this was dismissed as sounding too American, then the Germans suggested the 'Federal Republic of Europe' or even the Federal States of Europe' , I could see where this was all going, Germany started 2 world wars in an attempt to control Europe, fortunately it failed though at a massive cost of lives. It appears to me that it will never win trying to take over by force, so it is now trying to do it by a more stealthy means.
