Hi

Thinking of installing a smart home heating system so that I can control the house heating while away from home. Currently I have a wired thermostat to the Worcester Greenstar boiler. Can I just replace the existing thermostat for a 'smart' wired  thermostat without changing wiring in the boiler. Obviously I will need a hub and receiver.

Another option is to replace the existing thermostat with a receiver and then have a portable thermostat elsewhere in the house. So could the receiver be wired using the same cable as the existing thermostat ie is it the same 'gauge'  and suitable for this.  Would the wiring in the boiler have to be changed?

Hope this makes sense!

Thank you.
