Love the number plate "BOJ"

As for the insurance being high - thats down to how easy it is the steal and the quality of the average driver these days ................. ie not good

My renewal earlier this year was £329 & I've got a 2 year old VW Transporter Kombi (my licence is currently clean and no claims for 15+ years)

But you don’t live in the middle of the country with all its vibes, you are in the sleepy suburbs are you not?

sleepy suburbs ............ funny

this part of the UK is so crowded its beyond a joke. Every spare acre being built on with no increase in the roads, schools, doctors or hospitals ...........

Thought he meant me  "in the sleepy suburbs"     :C

£280  is for a 16 yr old  Vauxhall   Combi   clean licence  , full no claims .          ( Discovered that adding the wife as additional driver  reduced the cost   :C   )

Sorry Deke, I was referring to Murdo, you can’t live in the sleepy suburbs when dekington towers needs so many employees to keep it going you have your own town!

perhaps it would now be a classic collectors item worth bucket loads of cash if you had kept it. I keep seeing numerous car restoration programs on the TV, where old crates sudden become desirable gems. Or maybe its just the insurance providers are complete plonkers?

Well of course times are getting harder , we may have to lose a couple of footmen  this year .

Or maybe its just the insurance providers are complete plonkers?
They have their strange ways I must say  .   We used to have a fairly fast Escort saloon  ,  0 - 60 in a nano second   and the featured Escort van , ex BT , diesel , 0 - 60  half an hour.       I questioned them once on why the  van , with it's diesel lump , no turbo, no monetary  value  except to me  cost far more than the  much faster , more valuable  1600 Saloon .

First answer was  " You are carrying tools in it "      "OK  but you don't insure the tools because you quoted me £1000  year "       "Well you drive it onto building sites & places " .

"No I don't , they don't let you drive onto building sites "     " Yes but you could "       I gave up .
