It's a new combi oven:

2000w Input (shown on backplate)

Microwave Max. 900w

Grill Max 1100w

......and it has a molded plug with 13A fuse fitted!!

Thought I'd be installing to an existing 30A ring....but closer inspection shows this to be to a short spur to that 30A ring!

Suppose my question is.....is it reasonable to connect via a spur in this way?

Has to be right!! :)

If it has a 13A plug fitted  then thats what the manufacturers deem to be OK  .   The plug top prevents any current higher than 13A  being drawn  ..the spur , wiring 2.5  will carry that sort of current  so its should be good to go .

The appliance is limited to approx 2KW  by the 13A fuse .    I'm guessing the grille won't work with the oven on .
