Hello
Just wondering if anyone has feedback on this for me
I have a small garden house, two small rooms,
Was thinking of providing lights and maybe charging phones etc, from wind power
On “ wish “ and “ banggood “. There is small wind Turbine generators , at a reasonable price !
Has anybody experience of these or would it work for what I’m thinking , ?
Should also say , I know nothing about power generation or installation !

put in a photo of kind of thing I’m looking at !!
Thanks

Most of these small turbines need a good wind to get them going, not a gentle breeze.  So unless you live somewhere windy, they are unlikely to work very well for much of the time low down in the average garden.  That is why they work so well on boats which tend to be by their nature in more windy places.

If you want to try it for a bit of fun there are some very cheap ones on ebay from China.

Seriously you would be better off with some solar panels and a 12V battery.

Thanks guys,

much appreciated,

I agree I might just get a cheapy to try it out, I actually do live in a windy spot on side of hill where the wind funnels up the valley !!
