What would you do?

A Dimplex storage heater with a panel heater built in on the front, the old type.

The switch that turns the convector heater bit on and off has gone so needs replacing.

This is all I can find for the "correct" one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Dimplex-Storage-Convection-Heater-On-Off-Neon-Rocker-Switch-CXL-XL-BK/362840284156?hash=item547af75bfc:g:uZ8AAOSw06Bd6WqV

But £20 for a poxy ordinary looking rocker switch.

CPC has this https://cpc.farnell.com/molveno/sx8111681g000000/rocker-switch-20a-red-sp-off-on/dp/SW05298?st=rocker switch

Same size, same contact configuration, 20A contact rating and only £1.43

I think I know which I will be buying.  Apart from the different appearance, is there any reason not to fit the cheaper one?

Gloves always tend to be handy.... thats sort of the point...

Theres often a bargain if you stop to look .        We used to fit loads of PSU  s  to fire doors in hospitals  ,  local supply powers the door magnets & the Fire Alarm trips them out .

The PSU  makers  , for reasons unknown , sold the plug-in  relays separately  for  something like £20   .   We bought them,   little 8 pin relay,  at RS  at something like  £2  .   Think the PSUs were Newman Tonks .

Perhaps I should buy a job lot and put them on ebay as a "compatible" replacement for a bargain price of £10, half the price of the OEM one?
