Hi

My wife was using the hair dryer using a socket next to the bed and it cut out. I had a look at the socket, it  was dead, no output. I used a multi meter at noticed that E and L read 240V, E and N read 240v and L and E read 0V.

The socket on the other side of the bed was also giving no output, The socket on the opposite wall was ok, must be on a different spur,  as were all the other sockets in the house.

This socket has been working for 37 years and then this happened out he blue.

Any ideas, thanks for any help.

Brian
