Hi All,

I’m currently working as an apprentice electrician, I have been doing some research into the configuration and wiring of burglar alarm systems, I was wondering if anybody has any old gear they have ripped out that I could have a tinker with?

I will be adding this to an electrical practice rig I have already built.

Will be willing to pay a few quid and postage/packaging.

I am based in the Bristol area.

Cheers

David

Hi Murdoch,

Thanks for the reply mate, I’ve had a look on eBay and found something that could work, I’m after a Honeywell g4 accenta mini ideally.

You would be better with something like a Texecom Veritas R8+ or Veritas Excel panel if you are using it for training as these panels can be wired either 4 wire double pole or 2 wire E.O.L with resistors. I have a preference for E.O.L wiring as it makes it very easy identifying tamper faults especially on panels that only have a global tamper option if wired double pole

Personally I wouldn't give a G4 Accenta any space on anybody's wall the only reason it is popular is it's cheap
