Some of the delights I've come across recently, I'm sure most of you have seen similar.

All of the below were in service on various pieces of kit. Some obviously not on RCD protected circuits.

A mechanics favourite is to replace A 13A fuse on the welder with a no.2 or no.3 Pozi Bit

my best  was either a piece of takeaway tray foil wrapped around the fuse OR welding rods in the DNOs cutout!    How do I know?   I had to help the DNO lad lever the fuses out as all the bitumen had boiled up into the JPD CArriers.  This was about 40 years ago so nobody cared then. Oh, and it was on a petrol station forecourt as well
