So can I attach a bulb to the mesh and it will light if a live wire was attached to the mesh?

Can mosquitoes read?
Normally a plastic sign saying something along the lines of "Risk of Electrocution, DO NOT TOUCH" tends to work.
If not you could possibly add a warning light from the power source when it's turned on would illuminate.
