I am changing all my switches in my kitchen to a more modern switch, but am stuck on how to wire the new switched single socket from the old one still wired, can anybody tell me please how i wire this socket to the old wiring, my old single switch had LN LN my new switch has Com 1 way loop 2 way, seems it's quite difficult to upload images to this site, i do have a pic any help would be very regretful, thank you

Well your old switch was a double Pole one, your new one isn't! It's a two ,way switch
basically you have bought the wrong switch

I'm struggling to understand your description. A switched socket has just Live Neutral and Earth connections. Are you talking about a switch which controls a separate socket located elsewhere?
Whatever, your best bet is to take your old fitting to the suppliers and match it exactly, including its electrical ratings.

My thoughts exactly
if it LOOKS the same externally then it must be the same.....unfortunately this is not the case with electrical accessories
