heatmiser PRT W and matching RC1W working perfectly

went on hols and batteries run out

replace datteries and Wham.....

RF signal  to call for heat is fine

triggers everything is should opens valves properly ang fires the boiler

Next RF signal in 30 seconds or so thrns it all off again

factory reset everything

No change

very frustrating

Called the heatmiser tech support and they said either the stat is faulty or the RC unit - very helpful

anyone had this ??

No...

But unless it is absolutely essential to go wireless and impossible to do hard-wired..

I avoid wireless control of anything as much as possible...

As if or when faults / strange symptoms arise it can be an absolute nightmare to track down the cause..

e.g.

Batteries / Transmitters / Receivers / External interference... etc..

In a previous employment we were trying to solve a problem with a paging system at a large hospital..

Needed one of our head office tech guys to come out with some fancy kit to analyse radio signals to track down external interference..

So even if all your kit is working correctly there is always the risk of interference or building structure introducing problems.

I can only wish you good luck with resolving your problem.

As above - wireless is last resort.

Unfortunately this type of stuff is use once , discard - so maybe consider replacing it - shouldn't be too expensive

hanks Guys much appreciated.

unfortunately wired isnt an option for me so its as you say

use once discard, buy another one !!

cheers

Iain
