Hello Mike. Which 220 volt system have you in mind? This forum is UK based.
The USA and Mainland Europe both use 220 but are quite different in distribution and utilisation practices and both are different to UK which is nominally stated as 230, (to please our European neighbours,) but is really 240 in most cases.
Still, electricity is electricity and I'm sure people will try to help if possible.
