Hello

a tenanted house where the cooker is supplied by a cable from a wall mounted switch (which is not above the cooker) to the back of the cooker (which doesn't have a control panel above the hobs) runs diagonally on the surface approx. 30cms.  The house is due an EICR.

Will the cable as it is be an issue?

Would it being put into channelling run diagonally be an acceptable fix? (I can't post a picture yet due to having an insufficient post count).

TIA

with surface mounted cables / trunking the route or angle of the cable is irrelevant because you can see it.
Thanks. Does the fact that the cable can be seen mean it isn't necessary to do anything about it then?
