Hi people

can anyone help with a problem insulation testing with a megger 1552

keeps coming up 000 whatever its connected to when the test button is

activated

have I broke it?

try connecting all the leads together .. and test .. try again with all leads seperated .. what do u get ??

i can get this if the leads are not pushed in tight

why stil 000 when connected together through a new roll of cable one clip to brown one clip to blue blue and brown together at other end

you want the highest possible resistace. you do not 0 test leads for IR, but shorting them together to get 0 before a test ensures they are correctly connected to tester

if you ir test a short piece of cable say 1mm csa would you get a reading and what should it be assuming the cables good

The Don would expect a high reading, perhaps 299.
