hi

I recently installed electrics to an outside shed. when i did the testing and inspecting of the work i had done i noticed that the main incoming fuse on the suppliers side was a 60amp. The main double pole isolator in the consumer unit is 100amp. I do remember reading in the wiring regs that at no time should the main isolator in the consumer unit be greater than the suppliers fuse. I cannot remember where it was in the regs. Is this passable? Should i record this in the comments box?

THANKS

er... the isolator rating is how much current can safely pass, it does not have any kind of overload protection. so do you think its safe to have an isolator which is not able to safely handle the expected load?

isolators are generally 100A for domestic. no problems with it
