hi! my name is Asad. I am 21 years old. I am thinking about starting an electrician career. I am not sure whether to start C&G 2330 level 2 course or go for an apprenticeship. I have done A levels in Physics and Maths. Any help would be very helpful. thanks

Hello and welcome.

Usually you'll do both! Time @ college and time hands on.

Times are hard ATM and you may find it hard getting someone to take you on. Starting the C&G may help you get a foot on the ladder.

I have no electrical qualifications but my physics A level has really helped my understanding on the basics. Will help no doubt.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forum Asad.

From your qualifications so far I would be tempted to tell you to study Electrical Engineering.

If later you wanted to be an electrician it would be easy to convert.

If your heart is set to electrician then the 2330 is the best way to get the qualifications, however most courses now require you to have a practical portfolio, which is getting harder to get with the work the way it is at the moment.
