max. demand and diversity

Question

Hi,

Could anyone please help me on calculating maximum demand and then applying diversity. It does say a bit about in the 17 edition(red book) but it does not give that much.thanks

thanks for the help.

of a 16 amp radial socket=2300w expected to be drawn.

of a 6 amp light= 100w expected to be drawn

if this is only 1 fixed load per circuit, id say no diversity on either, max demand 2.4KW

thanks andyc.

just to confirm what i have understood from the regs, i work out my total amperage for the first socket i take 100% and then add 40% of the total amperage of the others.

Then for lights add all the total amperage then multiply by 70%(i think) to give me total.

Is that right? thanks

its generally 66% (iirc) for lighting circuits, but if you only have 1 fixed load, you cant exactly apply diversity
