I think they are all much the same now, Matt. Go for a known make , keep it simple, if you are into IT which I'm not, get one that saves all the carp and prints it off back at at base. I hire one myself, only do two a year.

Its an old Robin but they went ponto.

i have a kewtech kt71 dont do that many big jobs so its ideal for the 30> item jobs

 
All depends how much testing you are going to do. I have an old clare one had it donkeys years but for the little bit I do its ideal.

It all depends on the type and amount of testing.....

I have a Megger DVF PAT4.

Its an ok tester, albeit for two reasons:

User interface is not too good

Its big and heavy.

If you are testing an Office for example, you want a small handheld type unit, that you can quickly zip around the different items.
